1Who we are
EdgeProof ("we," "us") operates edgeproof.net and the EdgeProof software. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and your choices. Questions: privacy@edgeproof.net.
2What we collect
Information you give us
- Email address: provided at checkout, used to deliver your license key and for support and billing notices.
- Payment information: card details are collected and processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number. We receive a Stripe customer ID, subscription status, and billing metadata.
- Support correspondence: if you email us, we keep that message to respond.
Information created by your license
- License records: a license key, subscription status, plan, and renewal date, linked to your email and Stripe IDs.
What we do NOT collect
- Your broker credentials: Alpaca API keys, Schwab/tastytrade OAuth tokens, Robinhood grants, or Interactive Brokers gateway sessions (these stay in local files on your machine).
- Your Discord messages, monitored channels, extracted signals, positions, orders, or P&L.
- Any trading activity. The version-check request the software makes sends only the EdgeProof version number and carries no account or trading data.
Data your installation sends to third parties
EdgeProof is software you run on your own machine. Depending on how you configure it, your installation sends data directly to services you choose, under your own credentials. We do not receive, route, or process this data:
- Your LLM provider: if you configure a hosted model (for example OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google), the software sends the text of the Discord messages being analyzed to that provider so it can extract the trade signal. This is a direct connection from your machine under your own API key, governed by that provider’s privacy terms. If you configure a local model (Ollama or LM Studio) instead, this content never leaves your machine.
- Nobody else. This site serves its own fonts and uses no analytics, trackers, or third-party embeds, so loading a page here does not hand your IP address to anyone but us.
- Your broker (Alpaca, Charles Schwab, Robinhood, tastytrade, or Interactive Brokers): order placement and account queries go directly to your broker under your own API keys.
- Discord: the software reads messages from the channels you point it at.
3How we use information
- To deliver and verify your license and provide the Service
- To process payments, renewals, and cancellations
- To send transactional messages (license delivery, receipts, service and billing notices)
- To provide support and respond to your requests
- To detect abuse and enforce our Terms
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
4Service providers
We share limited information with vendors who process it on our behalf:
- Stripe: payment processing and subscription management
- Resend: delivery of transactional email
- Cloudflare: website hosting, the license API, and storage of license records
These providers are bound by their own privacy commitments and process data only as needed to provide their service.
5Retention
We keep account and billing records for as long as your subscription is active and afterward as needed to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations, then delete or anonymize them. You may request deletion as described below, subject to records we must retain by law.
6Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email privacy@edgeproof.net. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them. Because we do not sell personal information, there is no sale to opt out of.
7Cookies
The marketing site does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Our payment processor may set cookies necessary to complete checkout securely. [Update if you add analytics.]
8Security
We use reasonable technical measures to protect the information we hold, including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Because your brokerage credentials and trading data stay on your machine, protecting that machine is your responsibility.
9Children
The Service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
10Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the date above and, where appropriate, additional notice.
